Signet - A pragmatic Ethereum rollup

Read the documentation →

Signet is a pragmatic Ethereum rollup with sustainable economic incentives. We took a decade of lessons from Ethereum scaling and built something radically different.

Legacy rollups have grown increasingly complex, focusing on intricate proving systems. We chose a different path: strip away unnecessary complexity and focus on what matters - fast, reliable transactions at lower cost.

We removed proving systems and state roots. We replaced bridge lockups with instant swaps. We simplified block production. The result is a rollup that's straightforward to run, affordable to use, and compatible with everything you already know.

Signet is just a rollup.

Simplified Architecture

Complexity without practical benefit has become the industry standard. Complex proving systems—whether Optimistic or zero-knowledge—introduce significant overhead that users ultimately pay for.

Signet takes a different approach with market-based transfers. Assets are swapped between chains rather than "proven" back to Ethereum, reducing computational burden, increasing throughput, and lowering fees for everyone.

Instant Swaps

Lockup periods imposed by traditional rollups plague the user withdrawal experience. Signet eliminates this constraint entirely. Only on Signet can you achieve same-block cross-chain transfers through conditional transactions—ensuring you receive assets on the destination chain before releasing them from the origin, instantly.

Fair Block Production

Ethereum's auction system has led to over 80% of blocks being built by just two entities. Signet introduces a round-robin pattern that assigns production rights in rotation, reducing monopolistic control by wealthy builders and promoting a more diverse, resilient ecosystem of participants.
